KJ is 6 months 3 weeks old
Things KJ can do:
- Flip from stomach to back
- Flip from back to stomach
- Stand for a few minutes with assistance
- Stand without assistance if leaning on something for support
- Move body in an attempt to begin crawling (not quite there yet)
- Hold his bottle on his own, he will drop it and then pick it back up again
- Hold items - like teethers and toys - with both hands. He can hold a teething toy to his mouth and chew on it for minutes at a time. If he drops it, he will pick it back up.
- During tummy time, he will attempt to scoot to an item that is placed in front of him.
- He can put his feet into his mouth.
- He tries to sit up on his own and will lift his head up in a sit-up like position.
- If you hold your hands out, he will grab onto them and pull himself up with little to no effort on your part - he does most of the work.
- He knows his name and will turn in your direction when you call his name or speak to him.
- He follows you with his head/eyes when you enter and leave a room.
- He hasn't started saying words yet, but he does babble, growl, gurgle, inhale and squeak quite a bit.
- He is sitting up on her own.
- He likes to grab onto anything and everything.
- He loves jewlery, watches, cell phones, anything that sparkles or makes a noise.
- He can ride in a shopping cart and sit in a high chair now.
- He's eating between 24 - 36 oz./day and eating solids at least once a day.
- Solids he has eaten - avocado, sweet potatoes, butternut sqaush, bananas, pears, peas, green beans.
- Favorite solids: Sweet potatoes, squash, pears
- Least favorite solids: bananas, green beans
- We love him.
